Day 8 & 9

Another combined post as I was busy editing photos last night, think I got a bit carried away!!  Not every day you see the Flying Scotsman & Tornado together though.  Didn't spend much time on t'internet due to the malicious crap being posted still, a quick look before bedtime though & things seem to be calming down.

This week my sleep pattern has less sleep and less pattern than usual, so that lead to a tired Friday at work & meant I felt less like going to work than I do every other day.  The last couple of weeks have left me feeling as enthusiastic as a house brick, now I'm feeling as enthusiastic as a turd!!  Thank goodness I have cuddles from the hounds to keep me going & yes, for the extra cuddles I have paid them in extra treats.

Quickly shoved my dinner down my neck before shooting out for tonight's committee meeting, a very positive meeting, just what I needed.  Now time to edit the last few photos & decide which ones to print out.  Hmm, might find room for a beer too.

Day 6 & 7

This is a combined entry for two days as I didn't have time to post thanks to a nasty, small minded, evil cow being extremely abusive & wasting my time on Facebook.  What a cruel world it is when people feel they have to make threats to someone for giving a gift to a friend.

Anyway, after taking millions of photos & some video footage of the event at Severn Valley Railway at the weekend I have started ploughing my way through them.

The hounds have spent most of their time asleep (for a change) or eating my home made sausage & cheese muffins as they made me feel guilty for leaving them.  Now Will is squeaking at me cause she needs a wee!!!

Hoping my week will start getting better, it sure as hell can't get any worse!!

Day 5

Only half a day at work today.  Yippee!!!  Quick dash home to sort out the hounds before gathering all my camera gear & heading out to Bridgnorth to try to get some decent photos of the Flying Scotsman & Tornado in the station at Severn Valley Railway.  Yep, I wasn't disappointed, unfortunately missed the departure of the FS as the SVR car park was full I had to park on the overflow car park.  Got some cracking shots of Tornado, Sir Keith Park, Taw Valley & Bradley Manor before the FS returned from Kiddy.  Again got some good shots & also some video footage from the day.  Failing light on FS's final departure reduced the number of photos I could take, but managed a bit of video.

Home for a sit down & a pizza, pizza bones for the hounds as a little treat.  Early night now I think after three very busy days.

Day 4

A 6 am start today (6 am on a Sunday!!).  Only the Flying Scotsman can get me out of bed that early on a Sunday, the locomotive that is, not Jock the trapeze artist!!

Whizzed over to Eardington & secured a cracking spot for a bit of photography - Flying Scotsman, Tornado, Taw Valley, Sir Keith Park, Bradley Manor & Erlestoke Manor.  The sun was a bit too bright for photography, but happy with what I got.  Exhausted now after a very busy weekend, my feet & back are killing me.  Here's a couple of pics from today's Pacific Power event at Severn Valley Railway.  Back home form hound cuddles, shared a scotch egg with them, so I think I'm forgiven for my trainspotting expedition without them, maybe it was the sausage & egg muffin they each had, lol.

Day 3

An early start to the day for a trip to Attingham Park with my boy, Badger to meet my friend and her Greyhound Izzy.  A lovely two hour walk through the woods and deer park & a quick stop for a cuppa.  Bit of a stressful end to our walk when my friend discovered her car keys were missing, bundled them into our car to go home to collect the spare key, all turned out well as she returned & found them in the grass.  Phew!!

A flying visit to the new Retired Greyhound Trust branch in Dudley to meet their hounds on their opening day.  Home to eat...........

Day 2

More chasing my tail at work, but getting there slowly.  Thank crunchy it's Friday, my busy weekend starts here!!

Home to do some baking for the hounds, home made treats - tuna cake and for the first time sausage & cheese muffins.  The three hounds have tasted them & given them the seal of approval.

Time now for a beer & a bit of a chill, then an early night, busy weekend ahead :-)

Day 1

Another day spent chasing my tail at work to catch up with stuff.  It's great having time off, but then you have to work twice as hard when you return to catch up with shit as no one does your work while you're away.  Shovelled dinner down my neck before walking the three hounds - Badger, Willow & Lady, a nice cool walk in the dusky evening.  Now Willow is driving me insane barking at all the dogs on Paul O'Grady's show!!

Planning to finish my evening of by editing a few photos before another day at the office (so glad it's Friday tomorrow).  Can't wait for the weekend............
